The Seasons & Events

Note: As new seasons and world events are added to the game this tome should get bigger.

The Observation of Cyclus

Every two months the people of Wyrmdoor celebrate the cycles of the planet by meditating on the natural flow of life. The proper greeting during the Observation of Cyclus is "fair Cyclus" to note the fairness in the balance of the natural world.

Note: The Observation of Cyclus is a special event that happens every 30 (in the real world) days after a particular Wyvern game has been created. So, multiple Wyvern games can observe Cyclus at different times. Because of this, Cyclus can also fall on other seasonal events and, if it does, the event bonuses will stack.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights and increased gold and experience drops from forest fights.

Day of Devotion

The Day of Devotion is an annual celebration of love. Couples traditionally celebrate with gifts and delicious meals. The Inn of the Old Hen throws a party every year for anyone who doesn't have a partner to celebrate with. The Day of Devotion is celebrated from February 13 to February 15.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights, and forest gold and experience gain.

Portland Retro Game Expo

Every year Cheerful Ghost has a booth at the Portland Reto Game Expo where we have retro game tournaments and show our games for everyone to play. This year during PRGE we are celebrating by having an event from August 14th - 16th in 2020.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights.

The Pumpkin Festival

When the fields at Wyrmdoor are bursting with crops, the leaves begin to fall and the spirits haunt Forkwood Forest the town celebrates with the yearly Pumpkin Festival. The Pumpkin Festival tent is open and the whole town pours in to play games, eat, drink and enjoy the festival cheer.

Note: The Pumpkin Festival is observed from October 23rd - November 1st in 2020.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights and increased experience gain from forest fights.

The Annual Feast of Gratitude

Every year, the towns of Wyrmdoor and Mosswood celebrate with a great feast they call the Feast of Gratitude. The two towns were in a constant state of battle until the elders of both towns held a meeting decades ago and came to an agreement of trade and fellowship. The Feast of Gratitude celebrates the anniversary of this peace.

Note: The Annual Feast of Gratitude event is observed from November 28th - November 29th.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights, and forest gold and experience gain.

Winter

When the crisp air settles and the snow begins to fall, the townsfolk settle in to their warm coats for winter. The cheer is high and the traveling Gnomes construct a Gnome Village that is quite the sight to behold. The Gnome Village is a magical place of food and games, and the main attraction is the ability to talk to the Mythical Presents Elf.

Note: The Winter event is observed from December 20th - December 27th.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights and massively increased gold drops from forest fights.

The Turn of the Page

As one year ends and another begins, the town of Wyrmdoor celebrates The Turn of the Page. As the years transition, so do the chapters of our lives, from one chapter to the next. This is a reminder that any grudges we carry are too heavy a burden, and in the next year we should forgive others and ourselves for past transgressions, and always look for ways to better ourselves. A hopeful and reflective mood fills the air.

Note: The Turn of the Page is observed from December 31st - January 2nd.

Event Bonuses: Increased daily forest fights, and forest gold and experience gain.
